To Configure CAD Converter Settings for a PDS Data Source

  1. Double-click CSST.mdb (C:\ConstructSimData\Projects\<ProjectName>\CSST) to open CSST-Admin.
  2. In CSST-Admin, expand CSST Set-Up.
  3. Double-click Configure Data Processing Converters and in the CAD Conversion section of the VCM Data Processing Configuration window, click CAD Converter Settings. The CAD DataSources dialog opens.
  4. Click Add DataSource to create a new datasource for the project.
  5. In the New Data Source dialog, enter a project name and select PDS Label Adapter from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click Configure to set up the new data source.
  7. In the PDS Configuration dialog’s MDB file field, browse to the MDB2 file in the PDS folder for the project.
  8. In the DGN File Location field, browse to the PDS folder for the project.
  9. In the Hierarchy MDB File section, select the check box and browse to the PDS Hierarchy folder in the PDS folder of the project.
  10. Click Select Labels. In the Select Labels Dialog, map the mdb2 labels to the CAD adapter. Select OK to close the dialog.

    The Iso Tag field is the label that contains the isometric drawing, and the Line No field is the label that contains the Line Number as listed in the Project Pipe Line List. The Component No is the Material Commodity Code and the Equipment no is the Mechanical Equipment Tag Number.

  11. Under the DGN Levels to separate out, click add to separate a level. In the DGN Level dialog, input the required information about the level and select OK to add.
  12. Click OK in the PDS Configuration dialog and then click Add in the New Data Source dialog to add the new data source.
  13. Click Done to close the CAD DataSources dialog and complete the configuration.
